Happy NaNoWriMo 2020!
As of November 22, I have officially “won” NaNoWriMo 2020! w00t!
NaNoWriMo provides a handy dandy printable calendar each year. They recommend setting daily goals. This year, I decided to block out time on my calendar to make writing a priority, and so far it’s worked.
And after day 1, I also decided on a minimum of 2,000 words a day, which would have me at 50,000 words on November 25. I like to build a bit of word count cushion in just in case things go sideways at some point during the month.
Even though I aim to hit 50,000 words by or before November 25, I will keep writing until I finish the story. I hit 50,000 words for my 2013 project, but the story itself wasn’t finished.
And my word count totals so far. I’ll update this throughout the month.
