Hello! It’s been a hot minute since my last post. You might have thought I wandered right off the page.

Surprise! I’m still here.

So what’s been happening?

Well, like life, that’s a bit of a complex question that has a lot to do with being a woman of a *cough* certain age and dealing with all the fun that comes with that.

(And if you didn’t get the sarcasm in the last part of that last sentence, well, let me just say it was dripping with sarcasm.)

Luckily, things are (mostly) on the upswing. I’m (finally) feeling more like myself and I have most of my health issues under control.

Huzzah for modern medicine. (Except the parts where modern medicine has little to no studies/solutions/concern/care for issues that plague women, especially women of a certain age. But that’s a rant post for another time.)

All that aside, I’m back to all the things I love, of which reading, puzzling, and writing top that list.

And next month is Wyrd & Wonder! I’ve participated for the past few years and I’m going all in this year.

I’m looking forward to getting back into the fantasy genre since most of my reading lately has been more romance and contemporary fiction. I’ve read a bit of magical realism, but no real fantasy books until this month when I picked up A Wizard’s Guide to Defensive Baking by T. Kingfisher.
