Where I Try a Watercolor Kit from Let’s Make Art

I know, it’s been ages since I last posted. Life happened. Then happened some more. But now life has settled down a bit, so I’ll get back to posting more frequently.

And I have a great “I’m back” post to kick off and celebrate summer.

I recently found Let’s Make Art* via Instagram and thought neat! If you follow me here or on Instagram, then you know I love to take classes and try new things. I particularly love art classes and have a goal in my Litsy #BookFitnessChallenge (more on that later) to do at least 1 hour of art a week for mental wellness.

The premise of Let’s Make Art is to try and make learning watercolor and hand lettering simple. They offer subscription boxes or they have a shop where you can buy one kit.

Since I’ve recently taken a calligraphy class, I opted to go with watercolor. And since it’s been over twenty years since I last worked with watercolor, I opted to purchase 2 single kits instead of jumping immediately into a subscription. (See, with age does come some wisdom.)

To have a bit more fun with it, I decided to do a video. Here’s Part 1 of my first watercolor kit. And stay tuned for Part 2 where I finish the Rainbow Elephant.
